Amendments to the amendment!

I am so glad that I served as the Student Body President when I was in high school and had to learn Roberts Rule of Order. It is a method of helping make large bodies of voters make decisions. There really is not a fair way to make decisions, where ever voice is heard and no one walks away a loser. So we use Roberts Rules. This morning we had to decide whether or not to have one of our bishops set aside to travel and be representative of the Council of bishops. Our bishop really believed it was needed but the GC voted it down, fearing it gives too much power to one bishop. We elected judicial council members and University Senate members. Last night was a joy and inspiration to see how United Methodists are in ministry across the world. The mosquito nets have cut the death rate from malaria in half. Those are real lives saved. Missionaries and young people, churches in bars in Denver andoveable churches out on the streets. Great visions of how people take the gospel into the world. Okay back to the grind!
